Renaud Layadi
(Born in 1960) is project manager for international networks at the Regional Council of Brittany. After having graduated in History, Economics and Political Science he decided to visit the world, working two years in the french merchant navy (Europe, Africa, South America). He then resumed a 'normal' career as consultant for businesses and public sector in the field of environment and sustainable development. From 1996 to 2004 he became expert for the European Union for the preparation of the 1999 Common Agricultural Policy reform as well as for the French government on sustainable development. Strongly committed to his home region, Brittany, he wrote a book and numerous articles on European regional development, he joined the Regional Council of Brittany in 2004. He's currently in charge of developing Brittany’s international networks and expert on agricultural strategies and climate change issues.
